International Tenor Wayne Hobbs makes his La Scala debut in 2008 as Syme in Lorin Maazel’s new opera, 1984 the same role he covered in the World Premiere at Royal Opera, Covent Garden in 2005. He makes his NYCO debut in Danielpours' Margaret Garner in 2007. Equally comfortable on the operatic and concert stage, he makes his Carnegie Hall debut in 2007 singing the tenor solos in Carmina Burana and Die Erste Walpurgisnacht with the St. Cecilia Chorus and Orchestra. Most recently, Wayne made his Lincoln Center Alice Tully Hall debut as Townsend Harris in the US Premiere of Kosaku Yamada’s opera, Kurofune. He also makes his second appearance with Ronan Tynan in concert in New York in 2007.
